The City of New Brighton
Overview
The City of New Brighton is a first-ring northern suburb of the Twin Cities. The city has much to offer to businesses, residents and visitors. New Brighton was recognized recently for excellence in several municipal projects and is active in economic development. The city sustains a high quality of life in the community which is echoed in the mission statement of being "the preferred place to live, work, and do business." New Brighton is located in Ramsey county and is located only 10 miles east from Minneapolis.
Commercial Transportation
New Brighton has both I-694 and I-35W within its limits, along with three large 4-lane roads in its borders, including, CO-96, MN-88 and MN-8.

The population of New Brighton in 2000 was 22,206 people that was spread 22.2% under the age of 18, 11.3% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 25.6% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. The median income for a household was $52,856 and the median income for a family was $68,724.
